Julian Hunt was contacted buy Laurence Llewellyn Bowen as Julian’s relationship with Lawrence had grown over time and Julian was used by Laurence to gain planning consent and listed building consent for his own Cotswold residence.
The Assembly project involved a total refurbishment of a listed building.

Julian Hunt and Tony Hunt designed this bridge to link two buildings together internally. The elegant wing like surf board connected the buildings together with grace.
Garden Cottage was originally a small single story cottage away from the Main Langford House, a large family residence. The cottage was used for the ladies of the house to take tea and do needlework away from the main house.
Julian Hunt was asked to design an extension to Garden Cottage that would enable Lady De Mauley to move from the main residence to somewhat enlarged cottage.
Julian Hunt was initially instructed to try to find a way to link the main house to the barn with feeling. The project progressed to a total renovation with many alterations and additions, this included felling oak trees on the land and constructing green oak trusses.The house was sold to Kate Moss who has said “nobody will take away from me my fantastic country retreat”.
Julian Hunt redesigned the cottages entirely. Originally each dwelling was a three bed cottage with each having one ground floor bathroom. The finished cottages were transformed from tired workers dwellings to contemporary four bedroom three bathroom houses using natural stone and finishes throughout.

Julian and Yasmine Hunt designed a contemporary extension to an existing 1960s building. This is sometimes hard to achieve in the Cotswolds.
A new build property designed with contemporary living in mind and with a Cotswold feeling and design.
Julian Hunt was initially approached by the owner to draw the southerly wing of the house as it was before it had burnt down in 1952. The drawings were finished but it took some time to win over the Conservation Department. Julian was instructed to rebuild the entire wing, which is now completed.
Julian and Yasmine Hunt were asked to design a swimming pool in a particularly special location. The infinity pool was decided as the view is phenomenal and it would be so nice to embrace this.
This project will involve using Portland stone and has a clearwater natural reed bed system with a special transition from shallow to deep for the enjoyment of all. This is a project on site.
The brief was to get more light into this low ceilinged Cotswold stone house and create a funky kitchen / living space and replace the existing garage with a new studio garage. This project is ongoing.
This website is just a snap shot of many projects Julian Hunt has designed, there have been many, too numerous to mention all.
